First Wee Care Pre-school & Parents Day Out

First Wee Care meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM during the school year, for children ages 18 months through 4 years. For more information, call the First Wee Care office at 817-270-2313.

Mission Statement: Our mission is quality care and education for young children in a Christian environment. At First Wee Care our goal is to encourage our children in long lasting spiritual values and to foster early development skills to help them prepare for success in life.

Statement of Purpose: First Wee Care has been planned as an outreach developmental program of our children's ministries. The purpose is to provide physical care, security, encouragement and developmental learning opportunities in a Christian environment. This program will offer parents of young children the opportunity for free time, knowing their children are receiving expert care and educational experiences with a carefully planned curriculum. The program is available to members and non-members of First United Methodist Church of Azle. Our program does not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, national origin or religion. First Wee Care is a non-profit organization.

Philosophy of Early Childhood Education: We believe that a child is a unique individual who grows and learns at his/her own pace. Each child has something to offer as they relate to their world by being actively involved in play (his/her work). The play activities will be well-planned and designed for the age and developmental level of each child. The teacher will encourage kind interaction, independence and a positive self-image.

Goals:
1. To help each child develop a good self-esteem by viewing themselves as a very special person - A CHILD OF GOD.
2 .To help each child learn to interact with other children and adults in a Christian manner.
3. To help each child become increasingly aware of God's world and learn to treat the earth with respect.
4. To help each child meet their needs in a way that will encourage growth and development as a fully funtioning person (intellectually, socially, physically, emotionally and spiritually).
